Michael D. O’Brien, Managing Director, WCC. Mr. O’Brien is managing director of WorldCare Clinical and chief operating officer of ProScan Imaging, the largest independent teleradiology operation in the country. Previously Mr. O’Brien was president of Zoomtown.com and president of Chiquita International. He worked for 12 years at Procter and Gamble.
Rafael Mancera, Chief Financial Officer, WCC. Mr. Mancera became WCC’s CFO in 2008. Prior to that, he was chief operating officer at ProScan Clinical Trials Imaging (PCTI) at ProScan Imaging LLC, WCC’s parent company, and treasurer and senior director of mergers and acquisitions at Kendle International Inc. Before joining Kendle, Mr. Mancera held senior leadership positions at Benefit Designs, Inc. and Banco Nacional de Mexico, S.A., Mexico’s leading bank. He received a B.S. degree in industrial engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Richard Taranto, President, WCC. Mr. Taranto joined WCC in 2002 as project manager, was chief operating officer in 2004, and became president in 2005. He has managed multiple clinical imaging trials for biopharmaceutical and medical device companies, including more than 25 Phase II-IV studies, and developed and implemented management tools to streamline organizational effectiveness. Before joining WCC, Mr. Taranto was senior project manager at Perceptive Informatics. He earned a B.S. degree in zoology from the University of Rhode Island and an M.B.A. from Boston College.
Carol Adiletto, Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations and Regulatory Affairs, WCC. Carol Adiletto is senior vice president of clinical operations and regulatory affairs at WorldCare Clinical. She previously served as vice president of worldwide clinical and regulatory affairs at medical device firms Pluromed Inc. and Inverness Medical Innovations, Inc., where she led clinical and regulatory teams in strategy and execution of clinical trials and global and regulatory submission efforts for a variety of medical diagnostic products and devices. Ms. Adiletto holds an M.S. in Medical Laboratory Science with a Clinical Chemistry Specialization and a B.S. in Medical Laboratory Science from Northeastern University, and has more than 10 years experience in clinical research and regulatory affairs.
Margaret Phillips, M.D., Assistant Medical Director, WCC. Dr. Phillips is assistant medical director of WCC and director of medical education for the ProScan Imaging Education Foundation. Previously, she was an instructor in radiology at Harvard Medical School, a staff physician in the Department of Internal Medicine for Kaiser-Permanente, an associate radiologist and clinical associate at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and a Medical Staff member at Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Dr. Phillips received her medical degree from Boston University’s School of Medicine. Following, she did her residency in internal medicine at UCLA/Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles; completed her residency in radiology at Harvard Medical School; and completed fellowships in radiology at Harvard Medical School/Brigham and Women’s Hospital and ProScan Imaging. |
