WorldCare Clinical Establishes Drug Life Cycle Clinical Event Committees

"On Demand" Committee for Independent Assessment of Clinical Safety Events

Boston, MA, December 14, 2017 -- WorldCare Clinical (WCC), a leading CRO focused on maximizing the precision and accuracy of independent endpoint assessments in clinical trials, today announced its life cycle clinical safety event committees.

WCC's "on-demand" safety committees approach is cost-efficient and can be set up with minimal start-up cost and no monthly management fees. For 25 years, WCC has managed endpoint assessment committees, including adjudication of both imaging and non-imaging endpoints. WCC standing safety committees include Cardiovascular, Cerebrovascular, Pathology, Oncology, Drug Induced Liver Injury and Infection Committees. All committees are employee across multiple therapeutic areas and drug candidates. Additional safety committees have also been established based on a drug specific safety profile. Similar to WCC's imaging clinical trial services, its safety service employs only board-certified, subspecialty-trained practicing physicians.

"For multiple therapeutic areas, the FDA is increasingly requiring clinical event committee to provide a uniform review of safety data across trials. WCC's unique, full-service offering provides end-to-end logistics for an independent interpretation of these safety events," stated Aaron Timm CEO of WCC. "As an on-demand offering, the service provides sponsors the flexibility of requesting assessments only when needed."
