WorldCare Clinical Safety Committees Provide Solution for COVID-19 Vaccine Clinical Trials

Endpoint Adjudication Committees in Respiratory and Infection provide Clinical Safety Assessments for Vaccine Trials

Boston, MA – WorldCare Clinical (WCC), a leading CRO focused on maximizing the precision and accuracy of independent endpoint assessments in clinical trials, today announced that its clinical safety event committees provide an effective adjudication of clinical trial data for coronavirus vaccine trials.

For 25 years WCC has managed endpoint assessment committees, including adjudication of both imaging and non-imaging endpoints. WCC standing safety committees include Respiratory and Infection Committees, as well as committees in Cardiovascular, Cerebrovascular, Pathology, Oncology, and Drug Induced Liver Injury.  All committees are across multiple therapeutic areas and drug candidates including vaccines. Additional safety committees have also been established based on a drug specific safety profile. Similar to WCC's imaging clinical trial services, its safety service employs only board-certified, subspecialty-trained practicing physicians.

"As sponsors look to meet the FDA requirements of the uniform review of safety data across coronavirus vaccine trials, our safety committees provide an efficient solution for the central review of data," stated Aaron Timm CEO of WCC. " WCC's unique, full-service offering provides end-to-end logistics for an independent interpretation of these safety events."
